My name is Brad Gauer and I am a Business Development Officer with American Bank & Trust.

I was born and raised in Ipswich, SD and graduated from Ipswich High School.  I graduated from Northern State University with a degree in Accounting and Finance.

I have been married for 31 years to my wife Shelley who has been a school counselor for 28 years at Watertown High School.  We have 2 married sons and 1 one grandson that live out of state. 

Outside of work I enjoy being a husband, father and grandfather.  I am also a high school sports official and officiate football, basketball and baseball.   Faith, family and friends are my lifeline and spend my time trying to perfect those aspects of my life.

I have been with AB&T since the opening  of the Watertown office in January 2021.  Prior to that I spent nearly 25 years in the banking/insurance industry in the Watertown market. 

The AB&T culture is simple.  Pleasant, hardworking people that understand that taking care of customers and each other ultimately results in success for the bank.  It’s really that simple and management truly believes in those values and goes to great lengths to instill those values in all levels of the company.
