American Bank & Trust strives to make an impact throughout our local communities to let them know that we genuinely care. We give back to our communities through a variety of donations, event, programs, and sponsorships.
Each year, our Spirit Card program helps schools within our communities to purchase additional needs for staff and students. In 2025, AB&T donated a total of $57,754 to local schools through our Spirit Card Program, bringing our grand total to $327,023 in the last 13 years!
Spirit Card Program To Help Local Schools
Support your favorite local school by getting an American Bank & Trust Spirit Card. In response to the mounting budgetary needs of school districts, American Bank & Trust is inspired to give back to our local communities through Spirit Cards. Use your Spirit Card to make purchases and we will donate a percentage from each purchase back to the school district on your card.
Spirit Cards have helped schools purchase everything from bus passes for kids in need, to a climbing rock wall, travel expenses for FFA Convention, and library furniture.

Spirit Card Donation season is back in full swing! This year AB&T donated a total of $57,754 to local area schools and our donations have already started to make an impact!
Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles
Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles received a check for $1,000. These funds will be used for athletic equipment in the district.

Aberdeen Christian Knights
Aberdeen Christian received a check for $1,000. These funds are marked for general use in the district.

Aberdeen Roncalli Cavaliers
Aberdeen Christian received a check for $1,000. These funds are being used to support teacher’s classrooms including supplies and subscriptions from PreK to 12th grade.

Corsica-Stickney Jaguars
Corsica-Stickney Jaguars received a check for $1,088. These funds will be put towards a flagpole, concrete work, and benches for the outside of the elementary school.

De Smet Bulldogs
De Smet Bulldogs received a check for $5,644. These funds will be put towards a new furniture in the high school library.

Howard Tigers
Howard Tigers received a check for $1,000. These funds will be used for new first grade classroom supplies.

Huron Tigers
Huron Tigers received a check for $8,137. These funds will be used in the Huron School District Foundation for grants and scholarships.

Iroquois Lake Preston Sharks
Iroquois Lake Preston Sharks received a check for $1,000. These funds will be used for new squat racks to encourage more athletic use.

James Valley Christian Vikings
James Valley Christian Viking received a check for $1,000. These funds will be used for academic excellence and athletic opportunities for students.

Lisbon Broncos
Lisbon Broncos received a check for $1,000. These funds will be used for classroom supplies for K-12 grades.

Lennox Orioles
Lennox Orioles received a check for $1,000. These funds will go toward all unpaid student lunch accounts.

Miller Rustlers
Miller Rustlers received a check for $8,280. These funds will be used for field trips for all elementary, middle school and high school students.

Northwestern Wildcats
Northwestern Wildcats received a check for $2,447. These funds will be used for furnishings for new gym lobby.

Pierre Governors
Pierre Governors received a check for $6,109. These funds will be used for Ink and vinyl supplies, adaptive kitchen equipment and supplies, five additional microscopes, a scroll saw and lumber, caps and gowns for kindergarten graduation, STEM bins for playtime and more.

Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds
Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds received a check for $3,886. These funds will be used for a poster printer for classrooms and school.

Stanley County Buffaloes
Stanley County Buffaloes received a check for $2,328. These funds will be used for materials for shop class, books, storage organizers, calculators, and the State HOSA Leadership Conference.

Tea Area Titans
Tea Area Titans received a check for $1,000. These funds will be used for new streaming equipment to be used for all events including the Performing Arts Center. This would include cameras and computer set ups.

Watertown Arrows
Watertown Arrows received a check for $1,367. These funds will be used for the Watertown High School (WHS) Best Buddies program, which is making a considerable difference for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Worthington Trojans
Worthington Trojans received a check for $3,767. These funds will be used for general purpose within the school district.

Wessington Springs Spartans
Wessington Springs Spartans received a check for $5,647. These funds will be used for indoor track supplies, classroom headphones, butter dispenser, kudos wall and updating the visual aesthetics of the grade school.
