My name is Gloria Woodring, and I serve as a Universal Banker at American Bank & Trust, located at our Tea branch.

Originally from Ellendale, ND, I pursued my passion for numbers and graduated from Northern State College with a degree in Accounting. After tying the knot with my husband, Doug, we were blessed with a large and loving family, including six grown children and soon-to-be twelve grandchildren in May.

Outside of my professional life, Doug and I cherish moments spent camping, tending to our garden, and attending our grandchildren’s events. We also enjoy attending concerts, movies, and live theatre, both locally and in Chicago, where our son resides.

My journey with American Bank & Trust began in July with the merger of Valley Exchange Bank, where I dedicated 5 ½ years of service. Prior to my banking career, I worked as a paraprofessional at the Harrisburg School District, spent six years in retail, and operated an in-home daycare for 27 years.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my role as a Universal Banker is being the friendly face customers encounter as they walk through our doors. I take pride in greeting each individual personally, often by name and always with a warm smile. Building personal connections with our customers is a priority for me, as I believe it builds a sense of trust and belonging. Whether discussing their day or addressing their financial needs, I strive to make every interaction a positive and welcoming experience.
