My name is Lance Vilhauer, and I am an Ag/Business Banker with American Bank and Trust.

I grew up in rural Mina, SD, and went to school as a proud Warner Monarch! After high school, I obtained my bachelor’s degree from Concordia College with a major in Communications and a minor in Business and Spanish. I have been blessed in marriage with my wife, Lyndsey, since 2009 and have two children, Lawson and Lainey. The family is rounded out by (4) excellent “mouser” cats and a permanent garbage disposal, a yellow lab named Sonny. Outside of work, I stay very busy helping my parents on our family farm. With cattle, row crops, and plenty of hay to put up, there is never a dull moment! For fun, I enjoy bow hunting, taking the kids kayaking, bonfires and going to country music concerts.

I have been with American Bank and Trust since December 2021. AB&T’s culture is what really sets it apart from other banks. Absolutely every department truly wants to help each other out. This mindset comes directly from top leadership having tremendous values and a clear vision for what principals keep a priority.
