My name is Tom Shields, Sioux Falls Market President with American Bank & Trust. I recently joined the AB&T Sioux Falls on theBusiness Banking Team  before becoming the Sioux Falls Market President. I have over 30 years of experience building wealth and providing individuals with quality financial solutions around the Sioux Falls area.

I grew up in Mitchell, SD before attending college at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. Since those days of being a Coyote, I have married my beautiful wife, Denise, and raised our amazing two children. Our son Carter is 22 years old and currently attends my alma mater – USD. We are very excited for Carter to graduate from USD in May 2023. Our daughter Peyton is 18 years old and is enrolled at the University of Nebraska. We enjoy spending time together as a family.

If I’m not with my family, you can find me enjoying sports of all kinds. From watching sports on tv or in person, to competing against friends on the golf course.  I won’t pass on some friendly competition. Throughout the year, I also like to travel with my family.  We prefer beach destinations to escape the South Dakota climate on occasion.
