American Bank & Trust has broken ground for a new 15,000+ square foot office building at 77th Street and Minnesota Avenue, near the entrance to the Grand Prairie neighborhood.  The building will be home to the third Sioux Falls location for American Bank & Trust and its 14th location in South Dakota.

The bank will occupy approximately half the space in the new building, offering a full line of banking services including retail banking, business banking, mortgage financing and trust and wealth management services.  The new facility will house several administrative departments for American Bank & Trust.  It will also be the new location for American Trust Insurance, which will move from its current offices in Sioux Falls.  The third building tenant will be Standard Trust, a full service trust administration firm.

American Bank & Trust plans to initially have 25 employees at the location, with expansion up to another 15 staff in the future.  Completion date for the new building is autumn of 2020 with Lloyd Companies providing general contracting services for the VanDeWalle Architects design.
